Spotted a Problem With Your Roof?
A damp patch on a ceiling, or tiles on the lawn after a windy night, might look like a small fault. However, faults like these have a habit of becoming expensive if they're left. Water that gets past the covering rots timber, ruins plaster and encourages damp and mould underneath. As a result, a small job left alone can turn into a much bigger repair bill.
The sooner it's looked at, the cheaper and simpler the fix usually is. So we don't just patch the obvious symptom, such as a cracked tile — we trace the real source of the leak, since that's the only way to stop it coming back. Once we've found it, we repair it properly so it stays fixed.
Storm damage is one of the most common reasons we get called out, especially after a spell of high wind loosens ridge tiles or lifts a section of felt on a flat roof. Because a temporary fix can leave a roof vulnerable to the next storm, we always carry out a proper repair rather than a quick patch. In addition, we check nearby tiles and flashing while we're up there, so a second problem doesn't turn into a second call-out. That way, one visit sorts out the roof properly, instead of just the obvious damage.
