For example, a Velux conversion needs the rooflights flashed properly, while a dormer needs its own covering and lead detailing tied neatly into the existing roof. Because we're roofers with decades of experience, we handle the structure, the covering, the dormers and the rooflights ourselves. So your new space ends up warm, watertight and finished to a standard that lasts.
Many Hertfordshire homes from the 1930s onwards have roof timbers that were never designed to carry a full room, so the structural work has to come first, before the covering goes on. Because we handle both the carpentry and the roofing ourselves, there's no gap between trades for water to get in during the build. As a result, your loft stays weathertight throughout the project, not just once the last tile is on.
