Roofs don't last forever. Once tiles start slipping regularly, the felt underneath has perished, or you're patching leaks every winter, repairs become a false economy. For example, once battens have rotted under cracked tiles, a patch repair often fails again within a year. An old, tired roof also lets damp into the structure, and as a result your heating bills creep up too.

A properly installed new roof puts a stop to all of it. It seals the building, protects everything below, and adds real value and kerb appeal to your home. Whether it's a like-for-like re-roof in concrete tile or an upgrade to natural slate, we set it out properly from the first batten to the last ridge tile. As a result, you get a roof built to last decades, not just years.

We strip the old covering back to the rafters so we can check the timber underneath, since a new roof laid over rotten battens fails just as quickly as the old one did. Because we source slate, clay and concrete tile from the same suppliers we've used for generations, we can usually match an existing roofline exactly if only part of the property needs replacing. So the finished roof looks right from the street, not just from up close.
