A well-installed tiled or slate roof can last 50 years or more, and natural slate often longer still. Lifespan depends on the material, the quality of the workmanship and ongoing maintenance — all things a traditional, properly built roof gets right from the start.

For most homes we recommend either high-performance felt or single-ply EPDM rubber, both of which give a long, reliable, low-maintenance life. Traditional mastic asphalt is also excellent for the right job. We'll advise the best system for your roof, its size and how it's used.
